Today, PIFS partners with the China Development Research Foundation, a public foundation that is part of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. In 2018, the PIFS symposia was held in Guangzhou, China and was expanded to accommodate increased interest from Chinese officials.

Critical issues for the U.S.-China dialogue going forward will be the impact of the trade relationship on financial openness, the future of cross-border investment policies and the regulatory structure for financial technology, including retail payments and blockchain.
