On Tuesday, September 29, 2020 the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Harvard Law School (HLS) and the Program on International Financial Systems (PIFS) hosted a virtual roundtable entitled “COVID-19 Impact on Capital Markets and Effective Policy Responses.” The event began with a panel discussion between Heath P. Tarbert, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Barbara G. Novick, Vice Chair of BlackRock, and Jean-Claude Trichet, Former President of the European Central Bank. The panel was moderated by Professor Hal. S. Scott, President of PIFS, and Paul. P. Andrews, Secretary General of IOSCO. The discussion concluded with an audience question-and-answer session that was moderated by John Gulliver, Executive Director of PIFS.
